‹ Day 2

New Tbilisi in glass

2-min read

Across the river from the old town, 21st-century Tbilisi announces itself in curved glass: the Peace Bridge rippling over the Mtkvari, the twin tubes in Rike Park, the mushroom canopy of the Public Service Hall.

The contrast is the point. Few capitals let you stand on a medieval fortress wall and look down at a bridge that would not be out of place in Milan — Tbilisi does it in one camera frame.

🎒 The cable car from Rike Park up to Narikala gives the classic postcard view of everything you walked today — a few lari, runs till late.
